Vivo S2 FE Price in India: 10,000mAh Oct 6 Launch

Vivo is throwing a proper launch party on October 6, and the Vivo S2 FE price in India might be the headline it does not intend. The phone launches at the vivo NEXT 2026 event at 12 PM IST alongside the V80, and while Vivo’s teasers are busy hyping cameras, it is the battery number on the S2 FE that has everyone talking.

10,000mAh. In a phone expected to cost under Rs 40,000. Let that sit for a second.

Phones crossed the 7,000mAh mark this year like it was nothing, and now Vivo is going where no mainstream brand in this price band has gone before. A 10,000mAh battery in India, in 2026, from a company with actual service centres. This is the first time a five-figure battery is showing up in this price bracket, and it genuinely changes what “battery phone” means.

The launch: October 6, 12 PM IST

The vivo NEXT 2026 event is confirmed for October 6 at 12 PM IST, streamed through Vivo India’s social channels. The S2 FE and the V80 are confirmed for India, with the X Fold 6 also teased for the stage. A dedicated Flipkart microsite for the S2 FE is already live, so Flipkart will be one of the sale channels at launch.

What the Vivo S2 FE price in India could look like

Leaks doing the rounds on social media put the box MRP at Rs 39,999 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. Box MRP always runs higher than the street price, so expect the actual launch price to land somewhere in the Rs 33,000 to Rs 37,000 range. My guess is Rs 34,999. That would undercut the Redmi Note crowd just enough to matter, while keeping daylight between the S2 FE and the V80, which is tipped to start above Rs 60,000.

That 10,000mAh battery is the whole story

A 10,000mAh cell is genuinely absurd in the best way. Two-day battery life stops being a marketing claim and starts being the floor. Heavy users, BGMI marathons, hotspot duty on road trips. This phone should laugh at all of it. It even makes the 8,400mAh unit inside the upcoming iQOO 16 flagship look almost modest, and that is a phone tipped to cost nearly three times as much.

But here is the catch, and it is a real one. Vivo is pairing that monster cell with 44W charging. Forty-four watts into ten thousand milliamp-hours means a full charge will take well over two hours, maybe close to three. Most people charge overnight, so this will not ruin anyone’s life. Still, a 10,000mAh battery deserves at least 80W. This is the one spec where Vivo played it safe, and it shows.

Screen, chip and cameras: sensible, not exciting

The 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate sounds like a genuinely good screen for the money, and the claimed 2,000 nits of brightness is plenty for harsh Indian sunlight.

The Dimensity 7300e is a dependable mid-range chip. It will handle daily use and casual gaming without complaint. If you are upgrading from an older Dimensity 7000-series phone, though, do not expect a revelation.

Cameras are where Vivo kept the bill down. A 50MP main sensor plus a 2MP secondary camera is, let us be honest, a one-camera phone wearing a dual-camera costume. The 32MP front camera is the more interesting number, and the vertically aligned camera module looks clean in the teasers. An IP rating for dust and water resistance is rumoured, along with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Both are welcome at this price.

A quick aside

Here is what I keep coming back to. Three years ago, a 10,000mAh battery meant a brick from a no-name brand with a screen you would not wish on anyone. Now it is a Vivo phone with an AMOLED display, an in-display fingerprint sensor and a Flipkart microsite. The battery phone grew up. Somewhere, a product manager at a rival brand is having a bad week, because their “two-day battery” marketing just got out-batteried by roughly 40 percent.

The honest take

The Vivo S2 FE is a battery-first phone that does not feel like a compromise everywhere else. The 120Hz AMOLED is good, the chip is adequate, and a sub-Rs 40,000 launch price puts it in the busiest price band in India, right above the under-Rs 30,000 fight we covered between the Realme P4 Pro and Vivo V60e. But 44W charging on a 10,000mAh battery is a genuine miss, and the 2MP secondary camera is filler.

If you are the kind of person who carries a power bank everywhere, this phone was built for you. Everyone else should wait for October 6 and see the real price. If it lands at Rs 34,999 or below, Vivo has a festive-season problem on its hands. The good kind.
