Nothing Phone 4b Price in India: Rs 27,999 Deal

Nothing has spent the last month yo-yoing on price, and now it has outdone itself. The Nothing Phone 4b, which got a cheaper 6GB variant in India at Rs 35,999 just last week, is dropping to an effective Rs 27,999 in Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale. That is a straight Rs 8,000 shave, and honestly it makes the 4b the single most interesting phone deal of this festive season.

Here is my take, plainly: Nothing raised prices across its lineup in September, citing rising memory and component costs. Fair enough. Then it backpedalled with cheaper 6GB variants. And now, a week after launching that cheaper variant, it is practically selling it at Rs 27,999 in the sale. The pricing theatre is getting hard to keep up with. But if you are a buyer, none of that matters. At Rs 27,999, the 4b is genuinely hard to argue against.

Nothing Phone 4b price in India: the fine print

Let us do the math, because the headline number comes with conditions. The Rs 27,999 effective price applies only to the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant of the Phone 4b, and it stacks three separate benefits:

  • A flat Rs 4,000 price cut on the base variant
  • A bank offer of up to Rs 3,500 on eligible cards
  • An exchange bonus of Rs 500 on your old device

That totals Rs 8,000 off the Rs 35,999 list price. The other two variants get thinner deals. The 8GB + 128GB model works out to an effective Rs 35,999, and the 8GB + 256GB model to Rs 36,999, both driven mainly by the bank offer and exchange bonus rather than a direct price drop.

The timing: Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale starts October 9 for everyone, with early access on October 8 for Flipkart Plus, VIP and Black members, along with holders of eligible co-branded credit cards. Nothing has confirmed the offers run through the sale period, and Flipkart’s bank partners for this edition are ICICI and Axis. Two things to note. One, you only reach Rs 27,999 if you have the right card and a phone to exchange. Without both, expect to pay closer to Rs 32,000. Two, prices snap back when the sale ends, so this is a window, not a price cut.

A quick refresher on the phone itself

If you have not followed the 4b story, it is Nothing’s more affordable b-series sibling to the Phone 4a. You get a 6.77-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip, a 6,000mAh battery, and a 50MP main camera with OIS. It runs Android 16-based Nothing OS 4.1, and Nothing promises 3 years of OS upgrades plus 6 years of security updates.

A small aside: the Glyph Bar light strip divides people, and I still find it genuinely useful at night when the phone is face down and you can see who is calling from across the room. It is also the 4b’s biggest visual differentiator in a market where every budget phone looks like every other budget phone.

The 50MP camera is decent for the segment, and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 handles daily multitasking without fuss. Nothing OS remains one of the cleanest Android skins you can buy, with no bloat and a monochrome icon pack that still looks sharp. The one honest complaint: the 6GB RAM variant exists only because Nothing needed a cheaper entry point after the September price hike, and heavy multitaskers will feel the smaller memory sooner than they would on the 8GB models.

Should you buy it, or wait?

Buy it during the sale, if you were already shopping in this range. The Rs 27,999 effective price undercuts almost everything with this design and software package, and rival deals look weaker by comparison. Nothing’s own Phone 4a is also discounted in the same sale, at an effective Rs 32,999 for its 6GB variant, but the Rs 5,000 gap between the two siblings makes the 4a a tough recommendation right now unless you specifically want its bigger camera setup. Cheaper alternatives like the Lava Shark 2 Pro 5G play in a different, lower bracket entirely.

One jab, because it is deserved: early 4b buyers who paid full price in July got no such luck, and anyone who bought the 6GB variant at Rs 35,999 last week has every right to feel mildly annoyed. That is the cost of buying right before Big Billion Days, though, and everyone who shops in India in October knows the drill.

My verdict is simple. The Nothing Phone 4b at Rs 27,999 is the best value Nothing has offered all year, price drama aside. If this was already on your shortlist, set a reminder for October 9, keep your exchange device ready, and grab it. Just do not pay Rs 35,999 for it ever again.

For context on this pricing saga, Nothing also trimmed the Phone 4a to an effective Rs 32,999 in the same sale, and the 6GB variants of both phones launched in India just days ago.
