If you have just finished ITI and want shop-floor experience at a real PSU, this one is for you. Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), the Hyderabad-based public sector company under the Department of Atomic Energy, is hiring 310 ITI Trade Apprentices under Advertisement No. 11/2026. This is a one-year apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, not a permanent job, and the training starts on 2 November 2026.

What makes this recruitment stand out is how simple it is. There is no written exam and no interview. Selection is purely on your ITI marks, with 70% of the seats reserved for Government ITI students and 30% for Private ITI students. Your marks are the entire game here.

Key dates: apply by 11 October

  • Online registration opens: 30 September 2026, 6:00 PM
  • Last date to apply: 11 October 2026, 11:59 PM
  • Document verification: 22 to 24 October 2026
  • Offer letters by email: 28 and 29 October 2026
  • Training starts: 2 November 2026

That is a short application window, eleven days. If you are eligible, register on day one. Apprenticeship portals always get hammered near the deadline.

Trade-wise vacancy details

Out of these, 16 seats are horizontally reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities.

Who can apply: eligibility

You need an ITI pass certificate, an NCVT certificate, in the trade you are applying for, from a recognised institute in India. Two conditions are absolute:

  1. You must be a resident of Telangana state. Candidates from other states are not eligible.
  2. If you have already done, or are currently doing, an apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act at any government, PSU or private organisation, you cannot apply.

A plain-word warning on the first point: the Telangana domicile requirement is strict, and “all districts of Telangana” is the only eligibility zone. Do not apply from outside the state hoping it slides through. It will not.

Age limit (as on 31 October 2026)

  • Minimum: 18 years
  • General: up to 25 years
  • OBC: up to 28 years
  • SC / ST: up to 30 years
  • PwD: 10 years additional relaxation over the category limit

Application fee and stipend

No application fee is mentioned in the recruitment, so applying costs you nothing. The stipend is paid as per the Apprenticeship Act and MSDE norms. One caution: some websites floating around quote a specific monthly figure, but the ECIL notification itself does not state a stipend amount. Do not trust a number you see on a random site until ECIL confirms it.

What you do get is concrete: a year of trade training at a Department of Atomic Energy PSU. Complete it, pass the practical test in your trade, and the National Apprenticeship Certificate is issued by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. That certificate carries real weight when you apply for jobs later.

Selection process

  • Merit list based on ITI marks
  • 70% of seats for Government ITI candidates, 30% for Private ITI candidates
  • Document verification of shortlisted candidates at ECIL’s Corporate Learning and Development Centre, Hyderabad
  • Offer letter sent by email to selected candidates

Keep an eye on your email every day after the merit list stage. Verification dates can come at short notice, and no travel allowance is paid for attending. ECIL also reserves the right to change the number of seats, and candidates who are not selected are not informed separately.

How to apply: two steps

This is a two-step process, so do not skip the first one.

  1. Register on the apprenticeship portal under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (NAPS portal) and note your registration details.
  2. Go to the ECIL website, open Human Resources and then Current Job Openings, and fill the online application for ITI Trade Apprentices (Advt. 11/2026).
  3. Submit before 11 October 2026, 11:59 PM, and keep a printout of the application.

Documents you should have ready: your ITI NCVT certificate, date of birth proof, a government ID, caste certificate if applicable, disability certificate if applicable, plus police verification and medical fitness certificates.

Why this matters

PSU apprenticeships are one of the most underrated career moves after ITI. You get a year inside a working electronics manufacturer, mentored by people who actually build defence and atomic energy systems, and you walk out with a national certificate. Compared to sitting at home waiting for permanent openings, it is a no-brainer, and it costs nothing to apply.
